As God's people, baptized in the name of Father, Son, and Spirit, we want to live into our identity as God's family of missionary servants, and do so in all the rhythms of everyday life.
We are God's family, so we do a number for things together simply for the fun of it: meals, hiking, playdates, game nights, and any number of other things. We believe in common grace as well as saving grace, and aim to enjoy all of God's good gifts in a way that honors him. As God's family we also do a number of things specifically to draw us closer to our Father in Heaven - growth groups, opportunities for prayer, and an experiment in missional community we call Life Group.
By servants we mean that God sends us to others to seek their good in ways that genuinely serve them - we serve like Jesus serves. We host our local Neighborhood Kitchen and a new Neighborhood Garden. We now open our building for local emergency preparedness, host a Co-Op Preschool and multiple Classical Conversations (home-school) and Scouting groups, and look forward to doing whatever God puts in our heart to do for our neighbors and neighborhoods. We think of it as being generous like God is generous.
By missionary, we mean that we have a mission, a purpose, empowered by God's own Spirit. We to love, serve, listen, and give with intentionality, in ways that point to Jesus - his love for us, and his love for others.
To follow Jesus is to follow him with others. We invite everyone to find a group of friends with whom to grow in love for God, his word, and each other. Check out the next page for Simple Bible, Life Groups, and several gender-specific groups.
When vaccines are widely available, we will return to eating and laughing together the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
We are IPC's 55+ social group, and we enjoy meeting new friends and renewing old acquaintances. E-mail or call the church office if you'd like more information.
When not in pandemic time, we rehearse most Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm.
Because of Covid, we now sing together via the miracle of video! Our repertoire is a fun mix of genre: contemporary, traditional, classical, and Gospel to name a few. Open to anyone 6th grade and older; no experience necessary. Email our Choir Director, Ingrid, with any questions: email@example.com
