Reverend Hallack Greider
Interim Pastor
I was born and raised in Seattle and I love the Pacific Northwest—the physical beauty, and the culture. Yes, and even the rain. I graduated from the University of Washington with a business degree, but God had other plans for my vocation as I promptly moved to Berkeley, CA to work at a church for a year with university students. I then worked in downtown San Francisco for a year in “big business,” but again God directed me back to ministry. Actually, to graduate school in Pasadena.
It was there at Fuller Seminary that I met Heidi and we were married in Sept. of 1989. We have three delightful children—two teenagers and an almost-teenager. I like to read, laugh, and play golf. I have recently gotten hooked on triathlons too. This means that, by necessity, I now like to swim, run, and bike ride.
I enjoy doing transitional (interim) ministry, helping congregations find their identity, to heal and renew their joy and faith in Jesus Christ. I also have a passion for reaching the lost and hurting of our communities, and educating congregations about postmodern culture and ways to lovingly engage culture with the gospel of Jesus so the lost and hurting can hear and receive the good news of God’s love for them in Christ Jesus.
